1 DAY EMERGENCY FIRST AID at WORK COURSE (HSE APPROVED)

DURATION: 1 Day – 0900 -1600 hrs.

DELEGATE GROUP:  
Nominated emergency first aiders and any other delegates requiring an introduction into basic life saving first aid.

PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
No previous first aid training necessary.

AIM:
To allow delegates to reach a recognised standard (HSE) using current first aid protocols and literature.

OBJECTIVES:
Delegates will be given the opportunity to demonstrate competence in all aspects of Emergency First Aid at Work through a blend of theoretical and practical training and a formal assessment process.

COURSE CONTENT:
Delegates will receive theoretical and practical training in a range of first aid competencies.  The list below is by no means exhaustive but outlines the main aspects of the course.

  • Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations
  • The management of an incident
  • Priorities of first aid
  • Treating an unconscious casualty
  • Current resuscitation practices
  • Dealing with shock
  • Bleeding
  • Seizures
  • General workplace based injuries
  • Assessment (Certification will be a 1 day Emergency first aid at work HSE approved)

COURSE FEES: Available on request. Price includes course materials, certification and lunch. Accommodation may be available at the Centre on request. Where suitable facilities are available the above training can be delivered at the client’s location.

Bespoke courses will be considered to suit company specifics.
