CABIN CREW TRAINERS FIRE & SMOKE TRAINING
DURATION: 2 Days
DELEGATE GROUP: Public transport safety and survival instructors and airport fire service instructors who provide practical and/or theoretical fire and smoke training in accordance with JAR-OPS sub part N & sub part O.
PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Delegates will need to have a working knowledge of the fire and smoke training requirements of JAR-OPS sub part N & sub part O.
AIM:
Theoretical and practical training will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to enable them to effectively develop and provide fire fighting and smoke training and testing programmes to meet the statutory requirements.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course the delegate will have the necessary information, experience and skills to:
- relate the vital importance of dealing effectively with in-flight fires and the consequences if this is not achieved
- relate the development of appropriate and effective fire fighting procedures to combat in-flight fire situations taking into account the scale and scope of the operations being undertaken
- relate the development of the appropriate and effective communications and co-ordination procedures between cabin and flight deck in the event of an in-flight fire taking into account the scale and scope of the operation being undertaken
- pass on the types of in-flight fires and how they can develop
ensure the correct procedures are highlighted to effectively combat in-flight fires, including the use of all fire fighting equipment, and alternative fire fighting measures that might be available
